Departure 9:30 am from your hotel to discover the authentic charm of Senegal.
First stop: Joal-Fadiouth, an emblematic village linked to its shellfish island by a picturesque wooden bridge. You'll then set off on a walking tour of Fadiouth Island, a veritable cultural gem. You'll visit its mixed cemetery, where Christians and Muslims lie side by side in a peaceful setting that is a powerful symbol of tolerance.
At lunchtime, head to Joal's La Taverne du Pêcheur restaurant for a typically Senegalese meal by the sea, in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
In the afternoon, head for Fadial to discover one of the country's largest baobabs, a veritable natural monument. You then take the magnificent Samba Dia road, lined with majestic baobabs and palm trees, to reach Ndangane.
Settle in at Le Cordon Bleu on the riverbank, followed by a moment of relaxation in this haven of peace.
After breakfast, departure at 10am for an exceptional day of nature, discovery and relaxation.
From the port of Ndangane, take a pirogue through the bolongs of the Saloum Delta. You'll sail peacefully through the mangroves, real green lungs sheltering remarkable aquatic and ornithological fauna.
First stop: Bird Island, a natural sanctuary where you can observe a wide variety of species in an unspoilt environment.
The walk continues to Mar Lodj, an authentic Serer village nestled in the heart of the delta. Here you'll discover the local way of life and the village's cultural treasures: the sacred cheese tree, the telephone tam-tam, the community health center, the church, the market and many other curiosities. It's also an opportunity to talk to the notables and craftsmen, the true custodians of Mar Lodj's living memory.
Set up on a floating platform or on the edge of the bolong: a refreshing swim, nature observation and moments of pure relaxation in a soothing setting.
Enjoy lunch right on the water, in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
The afternoon is free for water sports: canoeing, paddle-boating, pedal-boating, beach volleyball... or simply lazing in the sun, lulled by the sounds of the Saloum.
Return by pirogue to Ndangane, then transfer by vehicle to Saly or surrounding area at the end of the day.
